The application phase that started on 1 June 2022 for BIRDO - Bird Photographer of the Year competition has closed. Almost 3,000 photos were received in 10 categories. We are particularly pleased that many young people entered the competition.

The jury has started its work, and it will be known by the end of August who made it to the second round. In September, these pictures will also be voted on by the public.

The overall winner can take home the Bird Photographer of the Year title as well as the main prize. Photographers under the age of 18 can apply for the Young Bird Photographer of the Year title and the accompanying grand prize.

Results will be announced on 26 November 2022 at the Wild Goose Festival in Tata.
